SEI TOMOKO SALON E13

Owner Tomoko Kawamoto and husband Sei first opened the E13th Street branch of this mini-chain back in 1995. Since then, the Kawamoto claim to fame has been all about gentility: You will find no burn-inducing flatirons, and your shampoo will be followed by an abbreviated shiatsu massage.  Sleek Asian-inspired haircuts are also available here, as are a number of hard-to-find Japanese styling products.

1995年、川本智子と夫、誠一郎がE13丁目にオープンした一軒のサロン。それ以来、その上品で丁寧な施術で多くのファンを魅了してきました。熱で髪を痛めるようなフラットアイロンは使わず、シャンプーの後には心地よい指圧マッサージ。細部にまで行き届いた気配りが、ここでの時間を特別なものにします。
